Installation Tuscan Mark Lodge No 1099
Firstly, apologizes for the lateness of this report. Tuscan Mark Lodge No 1099 installation meeting is always a happy affair as it just a few days before Christmas and all those attending are full of the Christmas spirit. The installation meeting this year was held on Monday 19th December at Liverpool Masonic Hall.

Gil Smith  and Sandy Kean
Representing the RW Provincial Grand Master was WBro David Durling, Prov.GSW and he was accompanied by WBro Brian Povey, Prov.GJW. Among the others attending were WBro Steve Walls the PGM’s Special Representative for the Liverpool area and VWBro’s, Eric Hughes and Derek Horrocks.

The Lodge was also honoured by the presence of RWBro Peter Connolly, PPrGM. It was nice to see Peter looking so well and in such good form after his recent bout of illness health. One person not at the meeting however was the Worshipful Master, WBro Ansford Hart, who was stuck in Australia after a cycling accident, and so it fell to WBro Sandy Kean to take the Chair.

With the lodge open and the general business and salutations completed, it was down to the DC, WBro Tony Collier to present the Master elect Bro Gil Smith to the Installing Master. We had worked out before the meeting that this was the fourth consecutive Installation ceremony that WBro Sandy Kean had carried out for Tuscan Mark.
Almost everyone
As you can imagine it was an excellent ceremony and Sandy also did the presentation of the Working Tools. WBro Derek Gaskell presented to Master with the Keystone Jewel before the WM appointed his office for the coming year. The Masters address was then given by WBro Jack Parker. The address to the Wardens was given at very short notice by VWBro Eric Hughes and of course as is tradition in the Province, WBro David Durling, gave the address to the Brethren. All three addresses maintained the high standard that had been set by WBro Sandy Kean.

With the Installation ceremony over WBro David Durling, brought the thanks and congratulations of the Provincial Grand Master to WBro Gil Smith on attaining the Chair for the first time and to WBro Sandy Kean for the great ceremony. WBro Durling then accepted the Charity cheque from the Master with thanks for those who would ultimately benefit from the money.

The festive board was a contrast to the traditional Christmas dinner, being Fish and Chips. There was one last treat to the night when RWBro Peter Connolly responded for the visitors. Peter certainly has not lost his sense of humour. We wish WBro Gil Smith and Tuscan Mark Lodge all the best for the year to come.
